S T A V R O S  concept branding/design - sourcing/build out

DEVELOPED NAME - STAVROS - assignment to develop a name for a 7 unit build out to compliment the project's sister building "the Sophia". Chose Stavros to become the buildings cool older brother.

CREATED LOGO - Donkey logo in simplistic style to create a villa feel that would bridge a Greek and Mexican vibe. The name "Stavros" means cross in Greek. In the Bible Jesus rides a donkey into Jerusalem as a symbol of service and humility. This makes the donkey the perfect symbol to link the cross of Jesus and the service we are providing through hospitality.

BRANDING - Each suite was given a donkey's nickname, ie - R.M. Canary, Burro, Cuddy, Teddy etc., Hanging inside a locally sourced artisan donkey piñata from Mañana Republic. White stark interiors with black accents, natural colors and materials such as rattan, pottery, clay, leather and hand made textiles etc. Each space with uniquely sourced art and objects of donkey decent.

DESIGN/BUILD OUT - Created a privacy, welcome wall with the donkey logo painted on it with moon shaped lighting that is repeated throughout the property. Built out a long banquette bench the length of the patio with huge shade structures for outdoor dining, relaxing and socializing. Created a mini villa atmosphere with olive trees and low profile lounge seating under patio roof. Chose light taupe tile for kitchen/bath and concretesque flooring to give a muted limestone washed out vibe for the subtle cognac, blush and seagrass color way to rest easy.
